KazakhGold Group is one Kazakhstan's leading gold mining companies, employing approximately 3,200 people. It is headquartered at Stepnogorsk, to the north of the capital Astana.Its three principal operating mines, Aksu, Bestobe and Zholymbet, are located in the Stepnogorsk region and have combined reserves and resources (Soviet classification) of almost 47m oz of gold, believed to be the country's largest.
